Country Wisdom
Living in the country has granted a natural wisdom to Southerners. They usually are able to predict the weather better than any weather man. They also are able to judge people pretty well.

If the cows are sitting down or you can see the silver parts of the leaves, that means that it’s going to rain.
If a wooly worm is brown, that means that the winter will be mild. If it is black, that means a hard winter. If it is black with brown in the middle, that means a hard winter with a break in the middle.
